Healthy Habits - A-Z

Major shifts in health don’t happen overnight. They happen one tiny, nearly-impossible-to-see step at a time. Often when people want to make changes, they stop short before they begin, overwhelmed by how much work it involves, how much time it’ll take.

There’s no easy way to say this, so I’ll just say it: If you want things to be different in your life, you have to be in love with the process more than the outcome. James Clear teaches this in his book, Atomic Habits. We can make major shifts and reach our goals, but they happen only when we look back after time spent developing healthy habits and realize, “Holy crap! I did it!”

If I want to be more flexible, I need to stretch everyday. I may not notice the changes today, tomorrow, or next month, but at some point I’ll look back and say, “Wow! I can touch my toes without bending my knees!”

With that, I’m sharing my favorite healthy habits and ideas from A-Z. See if any spark your interest. Remember that choosing even one healthy habit, no matter how small, and doing it regularly is what makes progress. Little, seemingly insignificant steps add up. Since it’s gonna take a minute to get where we want to be, it’s important to enjoy the ride. What looks fun to you??
